Packing Tips

Please send a well-fitted collar or harness that will not slip off, along with enough food to last your dog's entire stay, plus one to two extra meals.  any mediations or supplements must be provided in their original containers.  Please do not mix medications or supplements into food bags.

The Bark Barn provides food and water bowls, a raised bed, toys and leashes. We also offer free treats as well as treats to purchase.  You are welcome to send personal items with your dog, such as beds, blankets, or toys, but The Bark Barn cannot be held responsible for damage to personal items caused by dogs.  We recommend leaving sentimental or valuable items at home.  

For short stays, food must be packed in individual baggies per meal, per dog.  For longer stays, we accept gallon-sized bags or airtight containers that fit in the space in front of the kennel. We do not have storage for open dog food bags, and all food must be sealed completely.  Any food sent without a zipper seal or airtight container will be sent home with owner. 

If food is forgotten or an insufficient amount is provided, Purina Pro Plan Sport (All Ages) will be offered at an additional cost of $2 per cup.
