We collect a 50% deposit upon reservation and remaining balance is due upon check in arrival. Payments made at arrival are non-refundable and non-transferable once checked-in. If your plans change during their stay and that shortens the reserved stay, we do not offer a refund or transfer a credit for early departures. Changes made to a reservation prior to arrival for check-in may be considered for adjustment unless it is a holiday or peak period, including summer.
We accept cash, credit cards, and ACH (2.99% up-charge on credit card transactions).
Cash: As we keep a minimum amount of change on hand, we do request that exact change or smaller bills are used.
Cancellations or reservation changes made at least 72 hours prior to check in may have the deposit applied as a credit toward a future stay. Cancellations made less than 72 hours of check in will result in forfeiture of the deposit. All holiday and peak season reservations have a non refundable deposit.
Why Do We Require a 50% Deposit?
We understand that many guests wonder why we require a 50% deposit when a reservation is made. The reason is simple: your reservation holds a space exclusively for your dog.
Because our accommodations are limited, we often receive multiple requests for the same dates. When we reserve a space without a deposit and a guest does not arrive, that space may remain empty after we've turned away other families who needed boarding.
A 50% deposit helps ensure reservations are made with commitment, allowing us to better serve all of our clients while providing dependable availability. It also allows us to plan staffing and care for every dog staying with us.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to providing your dog with exceptional care during their stay at the Bark Barn.
